There is no more Rose Bowl tie-in. The Rose hosts a quarterfinal in the playoffs and every three years will host a semifinal.

I don’t think anybody can leave a league unless the league tv deal is close to expiration or until and unless the ACC’s Treason Caucus wins the bid to incinerate the grant of rights.

We’re a year into this Treason Train of FSU and Dabo U. This is the first time anyone has been willing to say — even on background — that FSU’s behavior has stamped them as bad potential partners. Amen.

And even if that weren’t the case, the Mountain West was never going to inherit the top of the Rose Bowl’s dance card. Jethro Bodine had better odds of joining the Wilshire Country Club.

I think any country club would be honored to have a double-naught spy on its membership roster.

And it helps explain why Chip Kelly left a HC job to be an OC.

So? Texas cornered the market on being a bad partner a looong time ago. They don't give a damn. Killing leagues and being so unbearable that other teams leave has been very good to them. I'm hoping that this year's UT team, with all thse five stars and Manning and all the rest, takes a couple of bad WTF losses during their SEC schedule.
