Maybe a bit of an overdraft, but he will be a good player.

 

I never thought I was watching an NBA star when I saw him play in college.

Having said that, this draft is thin as hell and if you can get a role player you've probably done OK. Bobby Marks said his comp for Edey is a 7'5" Jonas Valanciunas. If he ends up getting there it's a solid pick. I'm skeptical, but this is a draft board full of nothing, so why not?

 

My only thought going into round 2 is that "Johnny Furphy" sounds like one of those fake Japanese baseball names. Todd Bonzalez, Dwigt Rortugal, and Johnny Furphy.

 

I'm guessing the NBA didn't want to interfere with the debate, but is holding the second round in the afternoon any more anonymous than right after the first?

 

Kyle Filipowski and his fiancée are at least trying to drum up interest in the second round.
