Designer had to come in on Martin Luther King Day and make a 'hey, we interviewed someone,' graphic

I’m puzzled at the need to shout to the world that you interviewed someone for a high-profile job like this. You look insecure to start and incompetent if they pass on you.

On top of this, I can’t imagine elite coaches would even want this out there. Hell, I am average at what I do but don’t want the world knowing I’m interviewing.

The idea of a Bill Belichick job interview is hilarious. I mean, what questions are they gonna ask him? Bill, what are your goals in this business? He comes in wearing Super Bowl rings on six fingers, or maybe strung together as a necklace, and the interviewers are four down with four holes to play. He could answer every question with "call my agent." The only question I would ask would be "you're not going to bring Patricia here, are you?" That'd be a deal breaker.

Patricia is Greg Brady's tiki necklace

As an Eagles fan, I wanted them to die and die quickly last night and they did. Any sane human being knew they weren't as good as their 10-1 start indicated but they also weren't as lousy as the 1-6 finish. As someone who casually observed the "Patriot Way" nonsense Matt Patricia implemented in Detroit, running off good players while being a colossal boob, I loved every minute of seeing that Bluto from Popeye looking doof with his stupid pencil behind his ear being exposed as a total fraud -- just like all of the Bellicheck assistants have. I think Sirianni gets one more year based strictly off of making the Super Bowl last year and being a Jalen Hurts stupid play away from winning it, but he won't get much more rope than that.

Bill O'Brien: 52-48 and four (admittedly dogshit) AFC South titles. Also won eight and seven games with a Penn State program that got hammered by sanctions and was transfer-portaled to death before transfer-portalling became a thing.

    But your general point remains.

Honestly, he's so easy to forget (in a good way in this case) because he wasn't so full of bluster and bullshit. Patricia was a total clown, talking down to his players with the Lions and acting like he and he alone was the reason for the Patriots defense. Charlie Weis, another one, who rode a near-victory to a huge contract extension.

All the failed coaches from the Belichick tree have one thing in common: no Brady.
    Sound familiar?
