So here's the thing with C0dy-Rock-Roman that doesn't make sense to me: What did Cody say that was so offensive about the Anoa'i family that the Rock would turn on him for it? He just said their ancestors would be ashamed of Roman. Cody could've said way worse, like, "I respect your family's history, but let's face it, up until Dwayne, your family was mostly mid-card wannabes who couldn't hold a candle to my dad or my brother." What Cody said was relatively tame and pretty much what the Rock would've said. They could've sold it as the Rock being pissed because Cody was sticking his nose and family business, but the Rock sold it as being pissed by Cody talking about his ancestors. It doesn't make sense.

The Rock’s really pissed that Cody didnt do what he wanted and didnt succomb to his manipulation.

but like any ego-maniac lashing out, he’s outwardly made it Cody’s fault for the mild slight of the grandfathers.

I'm looking to see how this form of Rock progresses. During his Hollywood Rock days, he was a heel, but in a smarmy, goofy way (the singalongs, the bits with Hurricane). I don't think he's been a true bad guy heel since his early days with the Nation.

Meanwhile, Sammy Guevara maiming the Hardy family one by one. Who's next, Reby? King Maxell?

Damn. Glad to see Bron now officially on the main roster, but I was hoping for Raw so he would contend with Gunther for the intercontinental belt.

Um, Rock? Cody earned his rematch by winning the Royal Rumble, after a year of taking his loss like a man.
That line of bad logic took me right out of the promo.

Yeah, not a great return for heel Rock. Same sing-along schtick and a bunch of failed logic.

He maybe could've brought it back if he'd been like, "The Jazz took their loss like men. They worked their way back to the top ... and then Michael Jordan ripped their hearts out again and they haven't been back or been relevant since."

I’m sure that’s what was written but he flubbed it.

Still. Rock in a $500 shirt gold chain and loafers? Talkin trailer trash? In 2024? Put it in my veins

I did like the "You and your 50 wives" line at the start of it.
