Then you must've seen WWE's vlog of Jey and his son at Mania.

And so starts the seeds of a Ciampa heel turn, which makes sense because he does really play better as the maniacal bad guy.

Wouldn't mind them giving Ciampa vs. Gargano a shot on the main roster. It was such a legendary rivalry in NXT, but it kinda fizzled out between Ciampa's neck surgery and the pandemic taking away the crowds for their blow-off.

And Gargano deserves something big for SummerSlam in Cleveland.

    Welp. There goes Imperium.

Kaiser has a lot of potential as a singles shit heel.

I think it's more like, there goes Vinci. Though Kaiser could go to whatever brand his girl Tiffy Time is on.

Can definitely see Priest getting the boot from JDay after Backlash, a la Edge. Finn will then side with JD, his protege, and Dom.

Priest will beat Jey at Backlash (perhaps with help of Solo & Co.), setting up Priest vs. Finn at the Clash in Scotland.

he broke into Hangmans house, menacingly. And I dont think think Ospreays turn is over yet, he’s still in the Callis family. I did reverse the blood drinking.

anyway the question stands, is WWE presenting Cody a lot better than aew, or is the audience/setting just primed for a traditional white meat baby?

I’m not sure they presented him poorly, the audience was determined not to buy it. So much so they were sure the WWE audience would turn on him this time last year

Well, I guess with Seth recuperating from knee surgery, Becky's gotta bring home the bacon for the family.

The final three was incredibly predictable, but Becky can have a good run out of it, and she's still immensely over.

Surprised we didn't get any sort of surprise out of it, like a return or first time champ.

OK, I loved that championship celebration by Becky. Not just her celebrating in the crowd, but if you watch it back you can see parents sending their kids down the aisle to get a moment with her and Becky giving it to them.
    That's pretty awesome.

Yeah, I saw that too. Nice moment.

I wonder if they botched the ending somewhat. Liv dragged Becky through the ropes instead of pulling her over the top rope to join her. The table spots seemed off too because Nia didn’t break them until during the commercial break.

The AEW fans wanted Cody to turn heel. His wife was a tweener, if not working as a heel lite, but Cody just wouldn’t do it. That was his problem over there. (And the idiotic “If I lose I’ll never wrestle for the heavyweight title again” stipulation.)

That time Brandi led that stable was just weird as hell. Her best moments were "open mic night" quips against Jade and that MMA guy she compared to Heyman.

Cody's made it known that he wanted to follow Dusty's footsteps, and I think that included being the eternal good guy like Dusty was, but it wasn't until AEW that he had the stroke to make that happen.

Dusty's heyday was before my time, but was he ever a significant heel? The only heel moment I can remember was when he became the 72nd member (give or take) of the NWO late in his WCW run. He may have heeled a little bit for heel Cody during the Legacy days.

About Becky tonight, I was wondering what kind of reaction she would get at the end. She was definitely getting mixed signals against Rhea leading up to Mania, but with Rhea gone, Becky is (for no better term) definitely the man for the women's division again.

Does Becky drop it to Liv in France? Nia has improved a lot in this run, but not hoping for her. And for the love of all that's holy, not Charlotte.

Who has a better story to tell?
    1) The girl who got a hug and a selfie with Becky?
    2) The nervous girl in the Rhea Ripley shirt and white jacket who came down the aisle and got a hug?
    3) The guy with the backward baseball cap who got felt up by Becky while she was trying to keep her balance on top of a seat?
