Which is why it was laughable that he had a "conversation" with Deion Sanders about the job and everyone went nuts (of course it was meant to get attention during the playoffs, which the Cowboys were not in.)

I’m not entirely sure about the money part.
If you went to Jerruh and you guaranteed him a Super Bowl victory in year 1, but it was going to cost him 15 million, I think he would jump at that.

Rodgers’ rep has gone downhill from he part few years but we can’t deny that McCarthy was a major liability to the Packers in the playoffs.

Any NFL owner would make that trade in a heartbeat.

I'm pretty sure most owners operate under the mindset that every dollar they pay a coach and their staff means one less dollar for them - and they know people will take 30 percent below the market rate for their skill set in the front office to say they work in the NFL.

    Jones is a multi-billionaire. He’d pay $150 million — or more.

It is well known that he thinks that coaches are overpaid. None of his last few head coaches were in the top half of reported salaries.

But he would gladly overpay for the big ring.

That’s a silly hypothetical — the question is whether he would overpay for the best coach on the market instead of what he has been paying.
