No, @YMCA B-Baller, your Berman interaction is much better left said. Spill the beans.

I vote yes, only if he agrees to start his speech with, “you’re with me gold jacket.”

Y'all know Berman won it in 2010, right? Don't know how you give it to Irv Cross before Musburger, but the NFL is petty. Cosell too. My goodness. You see the list and there are some great choices and some "seriously?" choices. Really diminishes the award.

Coaching candidates have been announced. I don't know why we needed to announced 12 to get to nine, but three from this initial list will get cut. Apparently we've also entered the era of assistant coaches are up for Hall of Fame induction.

They also obviously believe Belichick is going to take a job, because they essentially changed the rules for him, state it in the release that The new bylaws also reduced the waiting period for Coach candidates from five seasons out of the game to one season out of the game. Individuals who last coached in the 2023 season or earlier are eligible for the Class of 2025 (Sounds like Belichick is eligible based on that stipulation) and then don't nominate him:

    Bill Arnsparger
    Tom Coughlin
    Jeff Fisher
    Alex Gibbs
    Mike Holmgren
    Chuck Knox
    Richie Petitbon
    Dan Reeves
    Marty Schottenheimer
    George Seifert
    Mike Shanahan
    Clark Shaughnessy

Obligatory "Where's Bill King?" post. Carry on.

Seifert is a very tough case to crack. That 1-15 at the end does not look good.

You can 9-7 your way into Canton? If Jeff Fisher is even this close I think we need a long break and a juice cleanse while we contemplate what this is even about anymore.

It was a weird 1-15. They were 0-15 after 9/11/01.

I'll do some looking to see which HoF coach lost 15 straight. Not even Jimmy Johnson
