Additional predictions for the season that haven't been made yet:

    - Sometime in the next 3-4 hours Freddie Prinz Jr. will turn on the director of CTU and start helping Jack instead of doing what he was supposed to be doing
    - It will be revealed that the Soviet assassins are really part of an old-school KGB sect that wants to sell arms to the middle east to start a war
    - The Soviet assassins, being old-school KGB, will also set their sights on President Taylor and write her off as "collateral damage" during the hit on their intended target
    - Within the next 2 hours Chloe becomes a wiz with the new CTU system outdoing everyone there

CTU wasn't hacked this time. It was the UN security computer that was hacked. Chloe just hacked into a co-worker's system from her system within the CTU server.

Ah, so good to have our Sunday evening adult cartoon back.

I wonder what this guy thought of Kim's hair.

I found it funny that Chloe had trouble learning the new computer system at CTU and was considered too slow, but it took her all but a minute to hack into her co-worker's system.

I wondered about that, too. Opinions seem to vary on her quite a bit.

Where does the ax kill rank on Jack's all-time hit list? Pretty nasty, but it's still going to be hard to top the one where he was tied up and chewed out the goon's jugular a year or two ago.

Eh, I didn't think it was anything too special, mostly because it just kind of seemed to go into his chest and he died instantly. If he had chopped his head off with one swing, that would have been some sick shit but it would have been one of his gruesomest/coolest kills.

BTW, I'm setting the bar at 20 kills this season. Who wants to play over/under?

I was wondering if Kevin Smith directed this episode. Seemed like Jack was always 10 seconds away from yelling out, "I wasn't supposed to BE here today!"

  10. - The axe kill is up there with the vampire bite and Chase's handchop (though that's technically not a kill).
    - Hassan's brother with the Prince Valiant haircut is one fugly dude; so is Hassan's wife. WTF was that?
    - Soooooo glad the red-headed successor to Secret Agent Dana Scully is back. Me likes.
    - None of you, lemme repeat, none of you would boot Ms. Kim outta bed EVER
    - Freddie is done by Episode 5
    - The day ends the way it began, Grandpa Jack asleep, the kid on his chest (what a babysitter), pack of smokes on the coffee table, snifter of Jack within reach and Kim waking him up that they just landed in LA.
