How long do we have to suffer through the Dana Walsh subplot? This is so badly thought out it could set Katee Sackhoff's career back by decades.

Although it's nice to see, for continuity's sake, that the new CTU has upheld the old CTU's tradition of second-rate employee background checks.

 

...cutting off some jerk's thumb with a buzzsaw.....you could be right.

 

I'm not watching. I wonder if it could be worse than what she was on the crappy Bionic Woman remake.

Speaking of BSG alumni, Leoben (Callum Keith Rennie) is playing Vladimir.

 

WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT DATA ANALYST BLONDIE AND HER REDNECK BOYFRIEND?!?!?!?!

 

When did this show jump the shark? I think in Season 6 when they set off the nuke in LA. Or maybe when Jack murked Curtis. It hasn't been the same.

If we're going for a clean break, it was definitely at the end of season 5 when Jack took that phone call and was jumped by the Chinese and freightered off.

 

I wonder if CTU got a deal on Malibu's since the Govt owns General Motors. It's good to see that they will still be around in 2017.

I am hoping that the Russians from the Sopranos are involved. We never did learn what became of them and I would like closure.

 

No doubt the Russians are also involved in a major fingerprint counterfeiting ring, which allowed the former redneck blonde/convicted felon to obtain a top government job without submitting to a fingerprint check.

When she returns to CTU after her impromptu lunch break, she has 15 voice mails from the Russians ordering her to commit various acts of subterfuge within CTU or they will blow her cover. But first they kill the redneck boyfriend, thank God, after he makes several lame jokes about how they all sound like Boris and Natasha.

The tension builds until the final episode, until it is finally revealed that she is actually Joan Rivers.

So, you know, stay with the story, it's all going to make sense.
