Exactly. But it seems to have set up next week's -- at least based on the trailers -- very well. 24 is at its best when Jack is in ass-kicking mode. Next week's episode seems to be promising that.

The trailer for next week does look good, though.

Other than the idiotic Dana Walsh subplot, I think this season has been pretty solid. Freddie Prinze Jr. has added nothing as well.

I also hate the woman who plays the president. She was annoying last season, but is much worse this season.

I'd be stunned if Fox cancels it. Kiefer and Rajskub are the only people they have to have back, which limits costs considerably. It's syndicated and usually the only network to cancel a show in syndication is NBC.

All I know is, that is one DEDICATED fuckin' P.O. to be out looking for his guy at 3 a.m., asking for evidence in a burglary case and trying to do the NYPD's work.

Maybe the guy stole his stapler.

Agreed on the Walsh subplot, but I guess they've got to have a "B" thread. Regarding the prez - when was the last time she was even in an episode?

Is it possible he's a bounty hunter impersonating a PO?
Maybe the bail bondsman hired a bounty hunter to bring those guys back to pay him the money they owe.
That would explain the need to be out at 3 a.m. tracking down evidence as to their whereabouts and crimes.

That's a pretty good theory considering how the character looks.

If Fox isn't going to pick up 24, they'd be smart to kill Jack.
