Seriously? A corrupt White House conspirator!?!??! How shocking.
I would give up on the show completely if that were the case.

    Depends on the ventilation system.

Ventilation? It's CTU, they're on a weaker power grid than Haiti, apparently.

Glad to see that Bubba Gump Hastings has grown a pair and is showing some leadership.
Loved when he said "Tell them to use a pen and a damn legal pad."

  5. SPOILER!!!

This is officially the worst show that I watch on a regular basis.

Katee Sackhoff's character makes for the worst mole in the history of moledom. If I was her terrorist boss, I'd be pissed. She's done nothing but draw attention to herself all day. Rather than secretly sabotaging the people around her, she's blatantly goofing off. I'm starting to think some of my coworkers might be moles.

Would have been better if the mole was a guy working for the Islamic Republic and not the terrorists.
This show could be great if they had a head writer who plotted the thing out all the way through a season like you see on some of the cable shows. Instead it's like every week a different monkey comes in, throws some poo around, then leaves. It says a lot that the last two seasons they've had to shut down production to allow the producers time to dig themselves out of a plot mess.

Yep. Me too. I see it on my Tivo and think of it as a chore I have to complete. But for some reason I keep doing it.

  8. I think making it up as you go along has its advantages at times - it allows for the story to develop on its own accord, and some plot twists can occur naturally that develop in the course of writing that the writer couldn't have imagined at the beginning - but you've also got to edit yourself. You can't keep going to the same well (I'm stuck! Quick, I need a CTU mole/CTU head who needs to be replaced/government bureaucrat doubting Jack/terrorist holding civilians hostage) and your plot twists have to make sense based on what came before. If there haven't been any clues along the way and if it doesn't make sense for someone to be a mole, don't make them a mole. And if something's not working, you need to either fix it or kill it.

I think I started watching 24 during season six and I've watched it out of habit more than anything else the last couple years. I may give it up after this season, unless the last episodes blow me away.

While I haven't been around for the whole ride of the series, I'm already incredibly tired of:

    1. Anyone questioning anything Jack ever says
    2. The hiring practices of CTU
    3. The lack of any semblance of national security in the US of the 24verse

Great '60s pop culture pull, Boom. Whoever was in the tower had no chance against that cannon.

Part of the problem with the moles is they knocked it out of the park with season 1's Nina Meyers. Maybe they should try bringing someone in halfway through a season who turns out to be a mole instead it always being one of the new computer geeks.

Nina being a mole was one of the greatest 'holy shit' moments in this show.

No mole plot has or will ever come close to that greatness.
