Browns making AFC title again in 89 only to be kicked again by Denver.

Loss in the 2003 AFC playoffs where I believe Pittsburgh had one of the biggest fourth quarter comebacks in NFL history.

 

I was surprised by those too. The 07 Indians blew a 3-1 lead, kind of a definition of collapse? Maybe because the other Indians examples were World Series examples?

At least giving notice to the 89 Browns getting crushed instead of a fluke ending and never really getting back to that level would have been good.

I guess maybe there were just too many examples to put them all in? Everything this century seemed to focus on LeBron but you'd think they'd have given the most recent examples of the other teams that very much fell in line with their story.

 

The Earnest Byner stuff was probably the best of the Cleveland episode. Obviously still has quite the impact on those involved.

Anyone catch the 30 for 30 on OJ Simpson last night?

 

I thought the first part lived up to the hype. Lots of good stuff on how OJ crafted his image from early on.

And just how good he was. And how popular, you know, before all the murdering.

I liked how they didn't even discuss the murders and trial in the first two hours. A great look at OJ and his place in the turbulent 60s.

 

I thought Part 1 was great. Lots of footage I previously hadn't seen. I like how there's no narrarator, too. Pretty good tone-setter for the rest of the series. The entire series will be viewable on WatchESPN after the premier of Part 2 on Tuesday night.

 

Agreed. Really pumped for the rest of it based on Part 1.

His cousin and childhood buddy (the guy with the gravelly voice) provided great insight into his early life.

And damn, OJ stole AC's girl for real.

 

I had thought I had OJ overload after watching (1) the real thing in the 70's; (2) the actual murder trial and civil trial judgment; (3) the Fox mini-series, but damn Pt. 1 was outstanding.

The backstory on both OJ and the black experience in LA in the 60's and OJ's arrival and then the selling of OJ reminded me of the bigger picture under which OJ arrived and then thrived and gives me a bit more insight into why the LA black community was so drawn to adopting OJ and wanting to see him acquitted.

 

What about the segment on the Kardashian children, any good?

 

Watching Part 2 now. Puts a lot of what led up to his arrest into the big picture.
