The older ones are now streaming on Netflix.

Already aired overseas and was on youtube for about a day or so. I didn't get around to watching it, though.

I'm going to end up watching all of them anyway, just because the first 30 were all at least watchable, and some of them just crushed it. I loved the Ali documentary that started it all, since I am just a 28-year-old dude and hadn't really seen any of that stuff. For similar reasons, I liked the ones on NASCAR driver Tim Richmond, and the 1994 one, since I was 10 when all of that actually happened.

I believe Wayne Gretzky was the first to air, then the Colts band. Ali-Holmes was third, I think.

Ah, whoops! The Ali one was the first one I saw.

I can hardly wait for 9.79. Ben got screwed. I remeber the total joy at beating Carl Lewis and then the complete dejection (seriously he got nailed for Winstrol, not even a sophisticated steroid)

A lot of Canadians acted pretty shameful after that. Ben went from Canadian hero to Jamaican cheat in the blink of an eye.

They all look good. Broke is promising. Bo has been done before but will be good as will the story on Ben Johnson. Benji will be very good. It's about Ben Wilson who was an outstanding prep player who was cut down in his senior year. ira Berkow wrote a great story about him.
By the way, what's the "B" theme?

Here's another good piece, T.V. style.

The Ben Wilson piece seems sadly topical giving the violent summer in Chicago, which has taken out, among the many, an Iona basketball recruit.

The Ole Miss one sounds fascinating, too.

Bob, I remember this kid. He was outfreakingstanding. The community is still dealing with his loss.

Bump! Since "Broke" was on last night, and at least from a casual scan, I don't think it got its own thread. I heard good things about it, and the director who did it had a good interview on the BS Report, but I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet.

  12. It was good.
Really good. Made a some of those guys seem sympathetic.
    Felt bad for Bernie Kosar.
Jamal Mashburn, who I never liked a a player, has a great head on his shoulders. I knew about his post-career success before, but still.

Andre Rison is still a douchebag. Shed nary a tear for Curt Shilling.
And anyone who thought Nails Dykstra was a financial genius got what they deserved.

It waited almost until the end to address something that hit me five minutes into the show: Why the hell aren't colleges teaching financial skills; asset management, and basic accounting to these potential pro athletes?
Jesus that should be required classes at football factories.

It was well worth the time to watch.
