Great interview with Wright Thompson on Ivan Maisel's podcast about "Ghosts of Ole Miss," which premieres tonight. As a Mississippian, civil rights history buff and college football fanatic, my anticipation for this one is off the charts:

Are these available to view in their entirety after they've run? If so, where at? Thanks for the help....

For some reason - not sure what - I have a feeling tonight's 30 for 30 will receive abundant and unbridled praise here.

Watching it right now. Hope you are, too. Here! Here! A Curtis Wilkie sighting.

    Really, really good.

The personal visuals of Thompson were unnecessary (he looked really awkward just now walking among the fans), since this story really told itself and his narration was excellent.

EDIT: Girl who just sang "Dixie" . . . is not from the South.

How well does Drip know the people in this new one?

About ten minutes in on "Ghosts of Ol Miss". Very, very good. Much more thought-provoking than that idiot Kansas basketball fan.

I took a campus visit to Oxford 21 years ago and found it to be friendly on the outside but with a real undercurrent of segregation still in place.

When I see Wright Thompson, he reminds me of the Timothy Hutton character from Everybody's All-American.

    +1.

It was intrusive for Thompson to try to affect a persona/presence with his quasi fedora and Ole Miss tie. The tie reminded me he's a Missouri graduate.

Thought Rather nailed it. To paraphrase, "Mississippi has come light years from 1962."

Little bit much on the extended Wright visuals. But he tells a great story and has a wonderful voice for it.
