Tracy Morgan may be the best talk show guest out there. Ferrell is pretty damn good, but he's become such a big star that he won't be as outrageous as he used to be.

I've seen Morgan on Kimmell and Conan and he was just hilarious.

On this thread you might be because they are both the same types of humor.

    You liked Arrested Development, right?

AD was the best comedy ever on television. And that's coming from someone who grew up in a family that had me watching 3 Stooges shorts from a very young age. I love the Stooges, Simpsons, Seinfeld, etc. but I don't think any comedy has combined brilliant writing and acting the way Arrested did. When I go back and watch episodes for the 10th or 11th time I still catch little things that I didn't notice before; especially little foreshadow moments that when caught make me realize just how amazing the show was put together.

In the minority? Probably. Alone? Definitely not. I'm in your camp, Mizzou. I find it occasionally funny, but far from brilliant. If the TV's on and it comes up, I'll watch. Otherwise, I'm not going to go out of my way to watch.

I think you need a Tivo or a DVR to really appreciate everything, and since many people did not have one when that show aired, it might have been its downfall.

My wife and I usually watch 30 Rock and The Office at least two times each week.

On 30 Rock, the payoffs to the A plot can be hit or miss. The end of the Jon Hamm arc was hilarious, while the episode where Liz gets her phone back from the cabbie was not. I still haven't seen a good plot involving Jenna or any of the writers. The throwaway lines on the show, especially with Baldwin or Morgan, are the best part.

AD was closer to the Family Guy world of strange asides and bizarre tangents, but did it in a way that was just hysterical. IMO, AD was a superior show to 30 Rock, but no one on AD is even close to Baldwin.

The Office, at its best, when Michael is toned down and there isn't too much Dwight (in other words, more like the UK show), is as good as it gets in the way of "real world" comedy.

I saw him on Conan and I seriously couldn't tell if he was just channeling Tracy Jordan or if that was his actual personality. Either way, he was riotously funny.

The latest arc has been especially weak, but The Office hasn't been nearly as funny this season. All the characters are moving to caricatures of themselves. Still watching, but hasn't been the same.

He was at a bar I went to in NYC a couple of years ago (post-SNL but pre-30 Rock). He took his shirt off.

30 Rock is growing on me. With Salma Hayek on tonight, this one definitely had its moments. Including "Liz Lemon Cool J."

Outstanding episode tonight -- one of the best. Kenneth saying "Earn this," the Brian Williams bit, so many strong lines.

The Brian Williams bit was out-fucking-standing. Kenneth was also great.

Jack and Tracy sitting down together so Jack could get some advice, with Tracy acting all serious, had me going.

And Dot-Com is way underrated. The Morrocan National Soccer team is called the Lions, and Tangiers is the capital of Morroco. So now who's the dumb one?!?
