News conference in Fort Collins. Neighbors apparently say two older siblings were on the roof when this thing took off. Prank by the kids?

Or they shoved the other kid in and cut the cords.

I feel bad for those having to write breaking news stories for this one.

Hell, it might be harder to write with facts. This thing is bizarre.

More from sheriff's presser: A box-type thing was attached to the bottom of the balloon. Big enough for someone to fit in. Never intended to hold anything more than batteries for this Jiffy Pop contraption.

If that is true, I can easily see it being a Malcolm in the Middle type prank gone horrible wrong.

He doesn't have to be a star, baby, to be in her show.

See, I don't think the thing would've flown that long just with the weight of the boy. Add the weight of the basket, and however it was tied to the balloon, and I'm just not convinced the thing would get that high off of the ground.

I never knew until this moment that Marilyn and Bill were really married...so at least something good came from this ordeal.

Helium is pretty powerful stuff in terms of lifting capacity:

You can find the good in any situation. I've always admired that about you.

I didn't know that Captain and Tennille were married until Hurricane Katrina.

Okay, here's a glitch.....there's supposed to be a smaller compartment on the bottom of the craft, kid could have been in there altho it was designed for a person, now they're looking for it.
