6-year-old boy is floating away

Agreed again. I've a 5 year old and I keep picturing him as I read about this story, it makes the lame snarky comments on this thread more than a little annoying.

If this does turn out to be a hoax, then feel free to rip away. But wait until we find out.

 

God, I hope this ends well. But the realistic journalist in me tells me it won't.

 

I have a kid and it doesn't bother me nearly as much emotionally as it seems to some people. I've even laughed at a few jokes I heard.

But I sure as heck wouldn't post them.

 

Not sure how early in the ordeal or how high up the balloon was when this photo was taken. There appears to be nothing attached to the bottom. So the basket probably fell off very early.

 

We're sending our love up the hot air balloon.

I'm going home to let the helium out of the giant saucer-shaped balloon tethered in our back yard before our eight-year-old gets any ideas.
