Really don't think you can draw that conclusion since there really has not been
    an open and honest investigation.

When a child is murdered, some parents lash out. Some go catatonic. Some drink themselves to death.

He's trying to cope with an amount of grief that you and I can't begin to understand.

Depends. Perhaps nothing would have stopped the knife rampage but, on the other hand, did having a gun(s) make the killer feel empowered? Invincible? If so, then not having a gun (s) might have kept him from acting out in the manner he did.

Maybe he would have been one of those kids who, instead slaughtered all the pets in the neighborhood instead of his neighbors.

And what kind of gun restriction laws? Both anecdotally and scientific studies have shown that suicides and impulse murders drop when you waiting periods and background checks are in place.

The problem is that you can't even have a conversation about what steps this government could take to curb gun violence without gun rights activists freaking out.

If a parent of a murdered child speaks out, gun rights activists freak out.

If a classroom of Kindergartners is murdered in the middle of the day and someone says, maybe we should make it harder to buy a gun, gun rights activists freak out.

Simply speaking, gun rights activists freaking out is now part of the mainstream.

Gun right activists now feel emboldened to say some of the most vile things possible and yet it is okay because they're gun rights activists. Anything they say is now okay because, you know, gun rights.

Yet it is a much times easier to find a tragedy involving guns then it is to find a situation where a concealed weapons holder foiled a crime. As opposed to the contention of gun rights activists who considered those permit holders America's extra security force.

Has any evidence arisen that put him right there with the murder weapons?

Off course not, but it does appear that if Obama had acted quicker the murders might
    have been prevented.

It's kind of the same logic that many use in blaming Bush for Katrina.

Bullshit, cheerleader. Nobody who cares about decency, regardless of what their opinions are on this issue, would defend the disgraceful remarks directed at Martinez. You really have become a complete embarrassment.

Or is it that the House GOP can't find anything substantive after spending millions upon millions of dollars on multiple investigations?

Tony, Martinez's father is not "grandstanding," and it is incredibly insensitive to say he is using his son's death for political gain. He is angry and distraught that he lost his son, and he did initially describe his son and the depth of his loss. I disagree with him blaming the politicians and the NRA, but he is just lashing out because his son is a victim and we have all seen it way too many times the past several years. But at the same time, Rodger purchased all the guns legally, as is his right, and there is no one to blame in this case except the mentally ill shooter. Some might blame the authorities for their failure to see it coming after it was called to their attention, but it doesn't seem there was much they could do at the time. Sometimes it's just a tragedy. But I can't blame Martinez for any comments he makes. He has the right to grieve any way he wants, and he hopes he can make a difference in the name of his son. It will pass, and everyone who has a right to own a gun will still have that right.

But according to Tony, only the killer should be blamed, not those who may have enabled the conditions that made it easier for the killings to take place.

They've all blended together. Does it go: Arizona, Sandy Hook, Colorado, UCSB?
