Can I just honestly thank you for pulling me out of my sportswriter bubble with the cold hard facts? I assumed it was pretty popular because I know and listen to a lot of people that watch it. Like so many online things, when you put them in context, these are deeply niche products that we conflate into things normal people care about. It’s useful to get this splash of water to the face from someone who is actually looking at the numbers and context.

It really bugs me how the NFL really did a number on NFL Films. The Sabols really created something great. I don't know if the league has a firm strategy going forward with the network, since the cable era seems to be in decline.

I'd say that me and my buddies who watch it make up 4 of the 26,000, or 0.015%. However, we've aged out of the 26-49 demographic, unfortunately. :(

A lot of the beyond basic cable tier networks have really been priced out of the market. People cord-cutting, etc. I just don't understand where the NFL is going to syndicate its programming to, FS1? ESPN? Do a 30m or 60m show dedicated to every team in the league and sell it to a station in that market on a weekly basis? The regional sports stations seem to be on shaky footing, and most have significant ownership stakes by the local MLB or NBA team.

I guess if you don’t have a quarterback you don’t need a wide receiver.

Access merchant Rapoport prominently mentioned Jeudy's agent, so it's no surprise he called a guy who could walk unrecognized down the middle of any street in America a star.
