If you overdraft a qb to take care of the *first four* weeks of the season, you're doing it wrong.

Falcons Reddit is amazing right now:

“We drafted the Operation game character at fucking 8 overall.”
    “Dollar Tree Mike Vick”
“Anyone want to join me in tying a cannon ball to their ankles and jumping in Lake Lanier?”
“We’re going to lose a pick for tampering to sign a QB for ($100M) only to use a top 10 pick on a different QB.”
“I stuck around for all the shit after 28-3 to see this team draft a fucking 24 year old with a replacement ACL grafted from a kangaroo to sit behind post Achilles tear Kirk Cousins? This is what I deserve?”

    Favre/Rodgers worked out
    So did Rodgers/Love

Having another good QB can work.

Networks must have hated the Lions trading up. Last hour looks like they’re reporting from an election party for a Senate candidate that pulled 38 percent.

So Niners must think they are losing one of their receivers soon

    1) If you're drafting in the top 10, you still have needs somewhere.

    2) I get wanting the insurance policy, and it's not like Cousins is still on the ascendant side of his career. But that's a pick you make in the second or third round, or maybe later in the first, because a good player is somehow still available and it's too good a value to pass up. Or when Cousins is halfway through his four-year deal and you can start to see the end. Not at No. 8 overall when you just sank $100 million into Cousins. It'd be a defensible pick in 2025 or 2026, but in 2024 it's a waste.

Apparently he did not like that.

Of course, given the arc of Cousins' career and how he outlasted RGIII before playing out THREE different FULLY GUARANTEED contracts with the Vikings, would it surprise anyone if he's still the Falcons' QB in 2027 and Penix is hanging out with Brandon Weeden in the home for overdrafted old rookie QBs?

He’s not young and they just guaranteed Cousins over a 100 million. It makes 0 sense.
