If you like Jazz, an artist named Khany Cole did a CD called Places.

On it were two really well-done covers:

"You made me so very happy" -- Blood, Sweat and Tears

    "Call on Me" -- Chicago

Agree with Dooley. "The Letter" by the Box Tops and Joe Cocker (live version) are both solid.

Can't agree on Turn the Page (tho Metallica scores point for the gritty video featuring Ginger Lynn Allen). Seger's version has much more of a soul.

Fenton Robinson and Boz Scaggs "Loan Me a Dime."

The Bjork-P.J. Harvey's cover of "Satisfaction" is one of the worst things I've ever heard.

So is Jimmy Buffett trying to cover Van Morrison on "Brown-Eyed Girl." Absolutely no soul, Jimmy.

Devo's cover of Satisfaction is pretty fascinating.

My favorite grunge covers would definitely be:
"I Believe in Miracles" by Pearl Jam
and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Tori Amos..who's still a babe at 44. She could cover nearly anything at her piano without my objection. :)
