    A. Let's not clutter these outing threads with talk of Mike's streak (AGAIN not the doing of Mike).

    B. Another ridiculously good day, helped of course by the Nats winning again and helped more by three RBI and a home run out of the greatest Rule 5 find (non-Clemente division) ever. The whole city is exceptionally nice and those at the stadium are no exception. Great ballpark. Details of the day to come, suffice it to say The Queen and I have not stopped for 15 or so hours and we're both exhaused and thrilled. Great day.

    C. There will be a post on this later but we're going to throw it out now: There will be no Poster of the Year voting for 2008. The ModdyRule will be imposed and those here will back it up to the hilt. ArnoldBaber is Poster of the Year - to open his house and be, along with his wife, an incredibly good and gracious host *** amazing. I can bow to his greatness every second for the rest of my life and still not give the man his due. The entire SJ nation owes him a major round of applause. AB, you are, quite simply, THE MAN. Edited to add - he has the greatest man cave EVER.

    Motion seconded. This night was legendary -- even by SJ's lofty standards. AB completely outdid himself, and his wife was just as exceptional. (Brownies!) ... What a weekend!

    just for the record, the rap with a british accent really sucked ass. what can i say? i live with it. also, thanks again to ab and his wife for their wonderful hospitality. i had a wonderful time. can't wait until the next outing. hopefully it will be in baltimore.

    I had a blast tonight, after a wonderful day. Hustle always will have a special place in my heart, for the job he and the missus did during Round 1 of the SportsJournalists.comfests, but Mr. and Mrs. Babar did a wonderful job tonight. Seriously. They deserve major-league props. She even knew my handle well before I introduced myself to her. She is a team player.
