The one thing that the Islept-through-the-90-s crowd also prefers not to remember was that the GOP congressional majority was hellbent to impeach Clinton long before any of us heard of Monica Lewinsky. They were going to do it just because they had the votes, even though they knew they'd never have the votes to convict. (2/3rds of the Senate being led around by the nose by a thug like Tom Delay? Not likely.) The comparison, especially when you tote up the bipartisan cover that certain D's gave the administration on things like NCLB and, especially, Iraq is ludicrous. As is the comparison, substance-wise, between Olbermann and O'Reilly.
FYI: O'Reilly went to Marist and then Harvard grad school. Olbermann went to Cornell. Not too sure about grad school.

Lyman, you could be a Canadian asshole if you applied for citizenship. But you'd still be two bricks shy of a load.

Not sure how much more time we should waste arguing with a guy who admits right up front that he's not too bright.

In addition to his bachelor's degree from Marist and his master's in public policy from Harvard, O'Reilly also has a master's in broadcast journalism from Boston University.

Pretty impressive for someone who can't "speak in complete sentences."

  5. I'm very glad he is well educated.
And he can speak in complete sentences, as Andrea Mackris found out.
The problem with him, as opposed to Hannity, who's an articulate dunce, is that O'Reilly plays vastly dumber than he actually is. That, and his unbelievable lack of respect for the truth and his rampant megalomania which, I can assure you, dates back to his earliest days in TV.

Yes, it is. Apparently, neither speech nor history was taught during O'Reilly's college days.

Bush went to Yale and he can't speak in complete words.

But Lyman's such an easy target. It's kinda like poking a dog with a stick. You know you'll get a reaction from the poor guy.

Leave our distinguished president alone, Bacon Boy. At least he doesn't curtsey to the queen like ya'll do.

Speaking of a lack of respect for the truth, what ever happened to those supposedly erased show transcripts on his web site that never had such transcripts?

Ahem. Where did the Shrub go to school? I don't think anyone is accusing him of being a master orator.

  12. Eh?
Maybe they're in the same shitcan where O'Reilly's -- oops. sorry -- Fox's nuisance suit against Franken went.
