Yes, it is. And while it's fantastic, it ain't worth that price!

I've seen it go for double that on the famous auction site.

Didn't get any bottles of CBS. That's ok by me, I've had it numerous times on draft. I enjoy it quite a bit but I'm not over-the-moon for it. Now if Founders decides to bottle Black Biscuit, that's a whole 'nother story!

Had a tremendous tasting last night with a few friends. Did get to try CBS out of the bottle for the first time, was very tasty as I figured.

Big hits were the epic sours we tried: Lost Abbey Duck Duck Gooze, Isabelle Proximus, Veritas 004 (was never bottled but a friend of one of my local buddies got a keg of it when it was made (good friends with Tomme Arthur, the Lost Abbey brewer) and my buddy ended up with several counter-pressure filled hand bottles), Destihl St. Reserve Sour Strawberry, some Jolly Pumpkin vintages (Perseguidor 4, first bottling LaRoja Grand Reserve, first bottling Biere de Mars Grand Reserve, first bottling Luciernaga Grand Reserve) among others (including a great all-brettanomyces home brew that was really tasty). Also had some wonderful Hair of the Dog beers (Matt, Bourbon Fred from the Wood, Cherry Adam from the Wood, 5-year old Fred).

    Great times...

I love reading about how the little guys (or...gals in this instance) are making it in the war of beer domination.

Remove one bottle of each Genesee product and add three bottles of Utica Club and you'd have the nectar of the gods from my high-school days, back when NY had the 18-year-old drinking age and NYS driver's licenses didn't have photo on them so you could easily borrow an older friend's and get served at a lot of places that didn't require a sheriff's card.

Seriously I remember drinking in the Old Stone Jug in Clinton, at Broadwell's in Oswego and in every bar in Potsdam at 16 or 17 while on "fact-finding" trips to visit friends at colleges I had no intention of attending, and back then I looked like I was about 12 years old. Someplace I still have my Erie County Sheriff's Card; that thing was worth its weight in gold when I finally did turn 18.

I grew up way farther west and south along the coast of Lake Ontario, but we pulled all the same stunts. The no-photo was huge. Used to get a 6-pack of Genny tallboy bottles and a 12-pack of little chocolate-covered donuts, with Charlie Brown's picture on the box, for Friday night HS basketball games. That's some clean living right there.

Have had two new ones this week. The Abita 25th Anniversary, which was really good. Pretty complex with a hint of vanilla.

Also had the Dogfish Chicory Stout -- tastes like nothing to me. Certainly not worth the price.

Drinking some Lagunitas Maximus Ale right now. ... Great stuff. 8.2% ABV double IPA, hopped like a mofo to 72.41 IBUs.

I like all the Lagunitas I have tried, and that one sounds pretty good.
