Never had one, but I'd still say NO!

I live in Virginia and a local pizza place will deliver six packs of beer. It's been a while, but IIRC, they have about 15 different beers to choose from.

Had an amazing beer experience on Monday night during Philly Beer Week at a Founders Tap Takeover. Got to enjoy a CBS, KBS, Better Half and Devil Dancer all in one sitting. CBS truly is the nectar of the gods, and the others also were spectacular.

Capped the evening by sipping a Backwoods Bastard draft on the small outdoor patio watching the Stanley Cup Final. A great night, indeed.

Had some a few weekends ago. Not something I would buy all that often but it was still quite enjoyable.

That sounds absolutely fantastic. I haven't had Better Half, but the others are great on their own. Having all of them available in one sitting is even better.

  7. Had a Deschutes Hop Henge.

It was like the first time I heard the second half of Abbey Road.

  8. Deschutes is cash-money to me right now.

    Had an Inversion IPA. Tasty

Finished up Beer Week in Philly on Saturday with a nice marathon.

Started with two J.W. Lee's Harvest Ales in the early afternoon. One was aged in Calvados Brandy barrels; the other in Lagavulin whisky barrels. Both were amazing and perfect for a warm day.

Moved on to a place that had Russian River's Pliny the Elder on tap. While I've had it before, it was no less terrific on Saturday. The grapefruit and pine nose -- to say nothing of the great taste -- is among the best there is, IMO.

Then I hit a Dark Horse tap takeover, where I had the solid Shake Maple Porter and the 13.6 ABV Double Crooked Tree IPA. Solid, solid stuff. The Double Crooked Tree didn't come off as too boozy at all. Although you knew it wasn't weak, it still went down smooth and was easy to drink.

Day ended with a Firestone Walker Parabola, a decadent stout that sang with caramel and chocolate notes.

Man, I can't wait for Beer Week again next year.

Not sure if it got mentioned on the baseball thread, but Bryce Harper is getting a beer named in his honor:
