A New Beer Thread

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Webster, Jun 25, 2011.

  1. Seeing lots of pumpkin-themed beers.
    I HATE pumpkin.

Anyone tried Yuengling's Octoberfest? Thoughts? Is it a Marzen-type beer?

Yes, yes, yes! No fruit or any other crap. If the beer needs that stuff it isn't good beer, dammit!
And I like Sam Adams and Shipyard's pumpkin/Oktoberfest beers. Have tried a few others, but they can get old in a hurry.

I drank all 5 Octoberfests on tap at local Buffalo Wild Wings Sunday...Sam Adams was my fave so far this year.

Sam makes one of the best O-fests in the US. Most of their beer is craptastic, but the Oktoberfest is special.

The best Sam Adams beer is the Cream Stout.

Best Belgian beer. Appropriately named (9% ABV).

Very small head for a big-dick beer.

I've had that before. Good stuff. You can get it on tap at World of Beer or similar places. But be careful ... it'll knock you on your ass.

Had the Harvest Ale from Southern Tier. I liked it as a fall beer.

This is one of those beers that one of them sits in your gullet like an anvil. I wouldn't dare have more than one.

    Nope. One would be plenty.

Love, love, love this beer. Also a Houbblon Chouffe fan.

Had this for the first time yesterday. Smooth and kind of spicy.
