Had the Dogfish Namaste witbier tonight. I really liked it -- for that style, it was pretty interesting with hints of lemongrass and citrus. A smooth beer, if perhaps needed a little bit of a sharper taste.

I know it's been mentioned 'round these parts before, but Dragon's Milk is fucking amazing.

You speak the truth. One of my favorite beers.

One of the few New Holland brews I enjoy any more.

They did a twist on it for the 30th anniversary of one of the biggest beer bars in Ann Arbor, Ashley's, earlier this year. Took the Dragon's Milk (which is aged in bourbon barrels) and added tart cherry puree before aging it further in cherry bitters barrels. It was remarkable.

Yeah, I've been to Four Peaks a number of times. I think their Kiltlifter is a bit overrated but they've got some other good beers.

Hoping to make it up to Flag for a day ... need to get pints at Beaver Street, Flag Brew and Mogollon. Miss those places.

EDIT: Quick map scan shows a couple more breweries opened up there ... will definitely need to explore.

I had heard many good things about Third Shift.

Had a couple last night, and it was not terrible.

Yeah. I like Third Shift. One day, I'd never heard of it. The next, it was everywhere. Weird.

Abita is releasing a new summer wheat this month. Looking forward to that.

Coors has that kind of distribution power. The marketing is brilliant, making it look like a craft beer and downplaying it's manufacturer. The beer itself runs reminded me of Dos Equis meets Samuel Adams Boston Lager, which is a big step up from Coors' mainstays but also a big step away from being a great lager, much less beer.

The Lemon Wheat -- my local beer store said they are getting it in soon. I like the Satsuma Harvest Wit -- I wonder if Abita isn't going to produce it this year.

Never had the Satsuma Harvest Wit. I'll keep an eye out for it just in case they have kept it around.

And Verse....I had no idea Third Shift was even a Coors beer. Interesting. I don't know what I'd consider a GREAT lager, but Third Shift is something I enjoy drinking every now and then. Along with several others.

Brooklyn Lager, Great Lakes Eliot Ness and Samuel Adams Winter Lager are my three favorite lagers. I don't drink any very often but had to give Third Shift a try a week or two ago.

Samuel Adams Boston Lager is the first thing I thought of after the first couple of drinks of Third Shift.
