St. Arnold's Lawnmower beer is a very refreshing Kolsch-style brew. Tasty on a warm summer day, but not sure how far their distribution reaches.

I've read several stories lately that indicate the craft beer industry is going crazy with trademark lawsuits. Too many breweries and not enough catchy names and logos to go around.

About to throw on a starter for a Belgian IPA. Using the Ardennes strain. 45% Belgian pils, 45% 2-row, 5% C-60, 2.5% wheat, 2.5% aromatic. Bittering with CTZ, with late additions of Centennial, Simcoe and Amarillo. 3-day Citra dry hop.

See anything wrong with that, @spikechiquet ?

I might swap the aromatic for some cara.

Just kegged (and bottled a gallon) and force-carbed my Sammy Smith Oatmeal Stout clone. Finished on the money at 10 for 6.8% (80% attenuation on a fifth generation of 005, which is my favorite yeast). She good.

Good mix of hops. Base malts are solid. Good yeast. I hope it turns out good!
Our club served homebrew at a beer collectibles show today. Lots of old dudes with Buckeye Beer and Stroh's shirts. It was fun.

Wow just got on this thread for the first time! Got about 4 gallons of my first all-grain Kolsch on tap and have another batch of a Firehouse No. 4 (blonde ale) about a week away from the keg. Having made the switch to all-grain in the last year, I'm really enjoying being able to make truly pale brews.

Next batch is likely to be a clone of the old Rally Cap Ale (wheat hybrid with bit of lemon) and will follow that with God knows what!

I think we need to have a SJ.com brew day! :)

    Yeah! Awesome.

Well, I'll have beer. But that's about it. Missed mash temp, pre-boil gravity by 4 points and OG by 6. Ugh.

On the other hand, this Sammy Smith Oatmeal Stout clone is legit.

And I'll be in Kansas this summer, if that gets us any closer to an SJ Brew Day.
