Had some of Odell's Hiveranno last night on tap, delicious. Semi-sour, citrusy hop, ahhhhh nom nom nom

Stone's Arrogant Bastard is my current favorite. Drink a Steel Reserve 24 oz. as an igniter and then go with the Arrogant Bastard to savor and you'll be having a good night. And a good night's sleep.

I'll see your Steel Reserve and raise you Dog Bite. Two of those will be the cheapest buzz you'll ever get.

This summer's I've really enjoyed Anderson Valley's Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema. And, as I have for every spring and summer since the early 1990s, Bell's Oberon Ale, known as Solsun way back then.

Arrogant Bastard is always a go-to, as are Two Hearted and Crooked Tree from Dark Horse. Lucky Basartd was even better than Arrogant Bastard but was only out on a limited basis where I'm at.

Stoked to hear my buddy Aaron from Grimm Brothers in Loveland, CO won a gold for his German Alt Little Red Cap. Great guy who makes outstanding beers.

Another one I was happy to see was Fort Collins, CO's Funkwerks taking home a silver for their Saison. Spent a couple hours at their taproom when I was in Colorado mid-August. Good people making great beers.

Founders' Canadian Breakfast Stout is being released in stores today (750 ml bottles) for the first time. My go-to places around here aren't likely to have it, which is thoroughly disappointing. I'm going to head out now and do a drive-by, but even if they did have it, I'm sure they're sold out.

New Belgium Fat Tire is *finally* available in the Baltimore-Washington area! Just got a 12-pack of 22oz. bottles for my birthday! :)

My go-to beer store does not have it yet but tell me it'll be sooner rather than later. It's the No. 3 beer in the Beer Advocate rankings and it sounds fucking glorious. I will go deep in debt to buy as much of this as I can.

I gave Fat Tire another chance now that it's as common as PBR around here and ... eh. It's not a bad beer, but I don't get the hype and never will. I also tried Kick, which is their pumpkin cranberry ale. Too sour for these lips and the pumpkin is completely overwhelmed. Highly disappointed.

Personally, not a huge fan of sour beers, but I approve of any article the Times want to print on craft beers:

That sounds not very fun to drink.
