    SS,

I think at least a third of us would tell you it's normal.

    SS,

I'm where you're at, brother. And I've been in a few more years than you. I just don't know what else to do.

    Keep your head up,

    Dear (expletive deleted),

Please stop acting like a(n) (expletive deleted). Yes, I am overly sensitive, I'll grant you that. But you acting like a(n) (expletive deleted) ain't helping the cause.

Dear Lady Interviewing the Joplin Mayor on ESPNU:

You really should look at the mayor when you're asking him questions.

    Yours,

    Apeman.

Wow, whatta week already. And it's only Tuesday.

    *ahem*

Dear Mrs. Parent of a Little League Football Player from a Town Way Out of Our Area:

Yeah, that's cool that little Johnny was the quarterback for the little league 6-year-old champions. And it's nice that there's someone doing a nice little newsletter for those flag football leagues up there. And thanks for sending along a couple of pics. One of them would actually be usable. But you don't live here, the team isn't local and I'm not here to to provide clippings for his grandparents. In fact, why don't you just, oh, I dunno, send the grandparents the newsletter?

And what's worse: I remember your name. You used to be a reporter for one of the TV stations down here. You ought to know better than to play those cards.

I will now begin the long-distance conspiracy to make sure your kid never gets an athletic scholarship.

    (Up) Yours,

    Apeman

    Dear Apeman,

What do you have against the Lil' Jimmys of the world?

    Dear T_D,

Actually, it's not him. It's his parents. After all, they're living vicariously through him. But if I let on, then my long-distance consipracy won't be as effective.

    Apeman.

    Dear InDesign 4,

I'm sure months, or even weeks, from now we'll be great friends, but at the moment, I can't stand you.

    Folks,

I have to have a root canal (or as C.J. would say, "Woot canow!") this week. Anyone know how bad it hurts?

    BB,

It's not bad at all. I got knocked out for mine, and took like one pain pill afterward. Others don't even go under, they just get local. There has been a thread or two on here if you're interested in seeing some others' takes.

    Sending hugs,

    IJAG

Had root canal on a molar (ie. 3 canals). A non event to be honest. Not painful. In fact, it ended some very bad pain.
