    copperpot,

That's probably because there was a scandal a few years ago when many salons claiming to donate to Locks of Love were throwing hair away instead. Now you do it yourself, and you know it's going where you intended.

I've been contemplating doing the same thing for awhile... but I don't have the guts yet. Brava, both of you!

    Attention Walmart shoppers,

I don't care what socioeconomic background you come from, but when both of your teenage boys have clearly soiled their pants, we have a problem. Please buy them new underwear, purchase a washing machine or go to the laundromat. It's really hard to focus on the self-checkout when the smell of ... well, you know ... is in the air.

    Thank you.

    All,

Last week, I interviewed a local musical duo. One of the members is a nationally acclaimed music writer, so I was sweating this story a little more than usual. Today, I got an email from a writer noting that I had one guy's name wrong throughout. I'm thankful it wasn't the writer's name, but I'm mortified nonetheless. The funny thing is, I don't remember the last time I made that kind of mistake. To make it in THIS story of all stories ... UGH.

    Dear copperpot,

I did that many moons ago when profiling a local-guy-who-made-good in this here profession and was following his alma mater for a season-long series. Needless to say, I felt like a massive douchebag over it.

    Dear Lord,

Whichever current poster literally has enough time in his/her life to post as doodah and add stress to my life, can you please ask them to help me find a job instead?

    Thank you,

    All,

Not feeling quite deserving of the note I got back after writing to apologize for the mistake, but I'll take it.

"Not a problem. We're thrilled with the story and the photos. It's a very nice package! Thanks so much for your time and effort."

Going to try to remember to pay this one forward.
