    Dear iMovie,

You are a terrible product. You're meant to be simple. Truth is, you're so stripped down to the basics, you're actually 100 times more complicated than FCP and Adobe Premiere for people who have any idea what they're doing.

Why do Macs have to make things so complicated? PC is the only way to go.

    Dear Board,
Covering the state wrestling finals, and am very bored out of my mind. I know my area only had three make it to finals, but this is about the most -- for lack of a better word -- underwhelming state finals I can remember.

And it didn't help that it started almost two hours late ... Thanks for that, KHSAA.

  4. Dear Bodie,

Where the hell are you that there is a HoJo's? I thought the chain went under.

    Mr. Redenbacher,

I can't speak for Bodie, but I'm staying in a HoJo's in south Jersey while on assignment in a couple of weeks. They're still alive, and independently owned and operated just like most other national hotel chains.

I believe it's just the restaurants that vanished. <nostalgic sob>

Don't you just enjoy that smell?

    Dear board,

Have you ever edited a story to the point where you KNOW you just made that thing 10 times better than it was? Where by recasting a lede, taking out one section and moving one thing around, plus writing a headline that played up the angle you invented that the writer signed off on, you made that thing worth the ... well, bandwidth it was written on?

I feel really good right now. And if that makes me a huge geek, then that I am.

Watch that person win an award for it ... And take all of the credit.

    Dear GoDaddy Customer Support,

I really applaud you for being so personable. HOWEVER! When the agent happens to recognize your name because she apparently went to college with you and read your column in the paper each week, it's kind of creepy. Especially when you know she's not BSing because she mentioned a specific one.

    matt,

That's not happening. It's still grocery-store level chicken salad. But it's better than it was. And I take pride in that.

    Dear Matt,
Couldn't tell. All I smelled was dirt (we were at an arena that typically just hosts horse shows).
