    Dear Matt,

Hope all is well on the health front. If they're close to you, perhaps there's some strong healthcare available to aid the cause.

    All the best,

    Hey everyone,

Thanks for the kind words. Received some bad news this afternoon from the fiancee. She said her mom (who's still in CO, by the way) wasn't able to get the transplant. Went for prep this morning and something was wrong with the donor's kidney that they hadn't noticed last night. I guess the bright side is, the doctors were able to catch what was wrong with it before doing the procedure.

Good news is, we now know she's near the top of the recipient list. Hopefully her waiting will end soon.

    Matt:

Can't imagine the wave of changing emotions... Hopefully, she'll be up soon. Stay strong for the fiancee and the family.

    Dear Matt,

Much better to learn that before the transplant. My dad's first transplanted kidney was a very good match, but there was something not quite right with it and it never kicked in as it should have. He ended up needing another transplant abut 5 years later.

Hang in there - all of you.

    Best wishes,

    Dyno

Good luck to your future mother-in-law and everyone there, and prayers are on their way from the east.

    Dear Mr. Would-Be DJ:

When selecting the music for a gymnastics meet for 5-10 year-old boys, stick with the radio edit of "You Oughta Know," mmmkay?

    Dear dixiehack,

I'm guessing that DJ bit off more than he can chew. He put his foot in his own mouth. But, hey: You play, you learn.

    Thank you,

    Dear boss,
I can't tell you how much I appreciated you coming to work Friday when you were hacking up a lung, on a day you really didn't need to come in. Yelling at the ad people for a problem you created was a nice touch as well. By the way, I so enjoyed waking up Saturday sicker than a dog thanks to the germs you so kindly shared Friday. You did know I had a state title game to cover Saturday, right?
    Thanks,
    murphyc
