    Dear board,

If you asked me at any point in the past five years "if money was no object and you didn't have to worry about being qualified, what would be your dream job?" ... well, let's just say that job posted yesterday. I will be applying and for ONCE they haven't included the qualification that I don't meet. I'm all over it like white on rice.

    PLEASE wish me luck.

    IJAG,

I'd wish you luck, but you won't need it because that job has your name written all over it. In all seriousness, I really hope you get it.

    Folks,

Last night I had dinner with a very dear friend of mine and two of her friends. I had a decent time, I kind of wish I had my friend all to myself, but we see each other so infrequently it was just nice to see her. This morning she IM's me and asks me if I was okay. I told her I was fine and left it at that, she said her friends were concerned because I didn't seem to engage them much. I didn't wanna tell her the real reason that I didn't talk much was because her friends (and her to a lesser extent) made me feel like I was a total failure because I didn't have a high-paying job. So, my question is, do I mention this to her as the reason I was kind of quiet, or just leave it alone?

    Dear Fort Collins,

Since moving here a week ago, there have been three separate wildfires on the edge of town. This doesn't include the huge one in the Poudre Canyon a few weeks back. Please stop. Trees are pretty.

    Deadest Matt,

I'm going to assume that was a typo.

    Dear World,

Headed back to my clinic after spending the last 3 weeks covering down at other clinics. Please don't let there be any major problems tomorrow so I can spend some time getting caught up. Oh, and I'd appreciate it if I don't get paged in the middle of the night while I'm on call this week. Thanks.

    Deuces,

    Joseph
