    KY,

No e in that child's name should ever be silent.

    Dear SJ,

I got stitches today for the first time in my life. My little diaper troll dropped a porcelain bowl on my foot. It didn't go well. Took the doctor five injections directly into the wound before any numbing took place. That didn't go well, either.

I'm a bigger baby than my baby.

    CB,
    Ouch. That stinks.

I've had stitches once, and it sucked. The stupid nurse didn't numb the wound enough, and I could feel the doc putting the last four of the nine stitches in my hand. Nurse even asked if I could still feel my hand, and I said yes. I was pretty out of it, but I'm pretty sure I was still talking coherently.

While having a thankfully non-malignant growth taken off the top of my head, the doctor numbed one side and did not bother to sufficiently numb the other side. Needless to say when he started cutting, I not so politely told him that he needed to stop lol.

Nine stitches for that one if I remember also.

    Dear KY and T_D,

One would think in this day of marvelous modern medicine, there would be a better way. I feel your pain.

This was about 12 years ago, only time I've ever had stitches, but still, I do remember the pain.

    Dear CB, TD and KY,

I have you all beat. During my c-section they turned the table to another angle and suddenly my spinal block was no longer working. Having someone dig around inside of you where they just cut a big hole is a pain like no other. My husband and mother were in the operating room. My mother said it seemed like an eternity before they had me knocked out. Of course it felt like an eternity to me, but for some reason I was trying to be brave. I wanted to scream but the pain was so intense I couldn't even do that. Thank God anesthesiologists are trained to read facial expressions for pain.

    Medical pain sufferers,

When I had two surgeries on my eye, they gave me stitches that dissolved. The little incision the doc made in the corner of my eye was not something he wanted to risk poking around with two remove stitches. That eye surgery sucked.

    BB,

I imagine all eye surgeries suck. But you didn't see that coming did you? :D

    Dear people,

Moving, it sucks. I got spoiled by living in the same place for two years, a record for me.

    Anyone need some empty boxes?
