    Dear Greenhorn,

What evidence do you have? Wait, don't tell me until after I read my latest issue of Red Lantern/Red Arrow. (Hey, what's this "Green Lantern" bullshit?)

    Apeman.

Oh, I'd like to share the evidence here apeman, but it is kinda political in nature.

    Greenhorn,

You don't have to. I just couldn't resist the opportunity to make a Fringe reference.

    Apeman.

    Board,

Good news: I get to go to a convention/conference in a week and a half for work. Better news: It's in Vegas. Best new: That means shopping, since I don't own four days worth of professional clothing.

Bad news: That costs money. :(

    IJAG,

I just got back from Vegas last night. In the four years I lived there, I don't remember things being as expensive as they were. Plan accordingly.

    BB,

I was just there in March. And I'll get reimbursed for stuff like food (but not gambling and liquor, sadly). I don't think the company will pay for my shopping, however.

    IJAG,

I went with a guy from work and his best friend (who annoyed the piss out of me). I felt bad about spending roughly $200 (not including the hotel) come to find out they spent a combined $3500 and they had nothing to show for it.

    Dear Board,

A friend of mine is getting married in Orlando next month.

Option A- four hour drive to the airport for a flight that will take four hours (including layover) and cost $170 (roundtrip).

Option B - 24 drive which will cost roughly $250 in gas (roundtrip) but will result in me having my convertible in Florida and the chance to stop by JAX on Sunday to visit friends.

    What should I choose?

    CC,

If you don't mind the drive, do it. I'd HATE 24 hours in a car, but if that's your thing, you've got way more freedom that way.

Dear woman who just left me a voicemail,

You really think I quoted you in a story when we've never spoken before? As you noted, you haven't read the story, you're just going on a friend's word. Pick up the paper and call me back.

    Unbelievable.

    Sick of this sh*t,

    CC,

If cost/time is such a factor that you can't split the drive into two chunks and get a hotel, then take the plane. Twenty-four hours is a long, long time to stay alert on the road, and it will be even harder on the drive back.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Dear across the hall neighbor,

Put on a fucking shirt and a pair of shoes. The world is not your living room.

    Hugs,
