    Dear Mayfly,

Store their number as "Do Not Answer," for a nice reminder when it pops up.

    Dear Mayfly,

In the part where you can assign special rings for individual people, put this person's ring tone on silent. Works wonders.

    Dear UT,

It's what I did to not have to hear a certain person calling me.

    Dear Universe,

Can I please deal with one competent person today? It's not bad enough that my company did something to our email servers and that my company email is not working, but the morons on the IT desk can't even find me on the server, after spelling my not that complicated last name 3 times and repeating my case number several times. It's still not fixed. I'm not holding my breath.

Then there's the outside vendor I'm dealing with who was great at calling to check in and was really responsive until he just stopped calling right at the time he had something due to me. I just talked to his boss and was promised the guy would call me tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath.

Then there's the fundraising director for the nonprofit I volunteer for responding to an email I sent her with a bullshit voicemail message, lying about something I have in writing and putting me in a position where I will look like the bad guy through no fault of my own.

    Peace be with you,

    Dyno
P.S. THEN when I tried to post this to SportsJournalists.com, I got the too many users screen! I should go home and go back to bed.

    Dear world,

When I wrote you last, you were beautiful and I loved you. Today, you're still beautiful, but it's a beauty wrought of deep sadness. I still love you, but I am reminded of the great cruelties fate has in store for so many of us.

When they got pregnant, I was ecstatic. I never knew I could love someone I hadn't yet met. When I found out they were having a boy, I was thrilled. When Peanut came into the world stillborn last night, I discovered I could also miss someone I'd never know.

Today there is heartache, but also great joy. Sadness, but so much love.

There will be great beauty in the world today, and I encourage all of you to go find some of it.

    Dear SportsJournalists.com gang,

Today, I became the proud owner of a 2004 Toyota Camry. Thanks to everyone who chimed in on my car situation.

In two days, I'm leaving town, and I could NOT be happier.

    Dear New England,

I hope you're as great as I've imagined, because I'm leaving at 6 a.m. Thursday headed in your general direction. I'll arrive Sunday evening, and would like really nice weather, so get on it.
