Everyone knows us Yankees fans have suffered the most.
No World Series wins since 2000 is so, so long to wait.
Plus, our team was mired in a terrible start and we were never, ever on TV, so I couldn't figure out what was wrong.
It is a tough life, being a Yankees fan.

Dear Clock,

Likewise. Except instead of stare at you I went to the gym at 2:28 and worked out. And then I came into work, now 4:12 a.m., and opened one of the more surprising e-mails I've ever gotten: from a former 6-man football player I used to cover in Enchantment, just saying hi and thanks for all of the hard work and coverage I gave that championship team when never before they got that kind of coverage. He gave me an udpate on all of the studs from that team. It made my week.

Anyone else ever gotten random e-mails like that 5 years later. What's really strange is that I was thinking of that 6-man team 2 days ago. Team goes 12-0, mercy-rules its arch rival in the title game, and the coach gets fired by the pastor's egomaniac son (whom a few SJ'ers here know well).

Anyway, clock, that was my night and now early morning.
