    Dear gang,

Got up at 5:30, drove 12 hours, took a break in there to hang out in Bristol for an hour waiting on my car to be unlocked.

Had dinner in DC, hung out with some friends and am now watching Jesus Camp in Hyattsville, MD.

Going to hang out in DC tomorrow, then head north Sunday. Tomorrow will definitely involve some serious sleeping.

    Love,

    UT

    Dear Virginia,

You are beautiful, though you are curvy and hilly and driving across you was a little stressful.

Tennessee, you were lovely as well.

    Dear UT,

Cutting the long way across Virginia may be gorgeous, but it's suicide inducing when that state is 7 hours of a 10 hour drive. Blergh.

D.C. is awesome to play tourist in. Enjoy all the free stuff

UT, did you drive through Tennessee on 24 or 40?

    Pally,

I-40 from OKC to the junction with 81.

And yeah, I did feel like I was driving across Virginia forever.

Never drove through Tennessee on 40 (although it's a mind-numbing drive through Arkansas), but if it's half as nice as the drive from Nashville to Chattanooga on 24, I'll have to try it one of these days.

    dear ace,

why does not being able to come home after work and immediately head to bed constitute beer bonging in your book?

    are you high?

Dear good people of the world,

It's a lovely day in Georgia today. I'm blessed to have my father here this weekend for Father's Day. I hope you all have a great day. I'm off to take my dad fishing and canoing.

    Dear Writing-irish,

Thanks for the box of hats. Love the Lobos cap. I think the mailman lady enjoyed the shamrock hat more than I did. This is how the exchange went:

    "Oh, a shamrock!" she said.
"Yeah, it's from a llama friend over at Anything Goes."
"A llama friend at Anything Goes? What's that?"
"A top-secret meeting place of the brightest minds in America."
"Oh, sounds exciting. Your llama friend is nice to send you this shamrock hat."
"Good guy, yes, but he's no Boots."
    "What's a Boots?"
"A special fella who's into importing and exporting."
    "What's he import."
    "Cured beef."
    "What's he export"
    "Special sauce."
    "Oh."

The line was forming behind me, so I had to cut short the convo.

    Thanks again,
    Xan

P.S. The Coyotes hat is en route.
