Now about those headlamps ... I just went in to replace my fourth headlamp bulb and I've had the vehicle less than five years. Don't make me tell Car & Driver ... the last thing I want to sound like is someone who doesn't like imports.

I read that letter one day when I was sitting in my dad's shop. I couldn't stop laughing, but the guys in the shop weren't as tickled as I was because it's a Chevy/GM dealership.

I know that feeling. I worked for a while at a GM dealership. As a whole, the most narrow-minded and unfriendly bunch I've ever worked around. Add to that the fact that I was driving a Geo Storm GSi at the time - sold by GM, but a rebadged Isuzu Impulse - and I was not a popular fellow there.

I should go back there and read that letter to the editor on the showroom floor, in the parts department, the service department (if I can find room among the dozens of cars stuck in there for warranty work ... ) and the waiting area.
