The little world that is league play is almost like junior high. Think Desperate Housewives/Melrose Place/Bev Hills 90210 on cleats.

Short or deep fences? Is it mainly a league where people hit triples or do they put it out of the ballpark on occasion?

Nope. Never had this guy's phone number. Can't even figure out where he got my number. My friend on his team says he didn't get it from him.

It's competitive ball, which means it's the same people all the time getting too close and knowing too much about each other.

    Fences are 285-300.

Apparently Mayfly didn't lay on the innuendo thick enough. At least, that's what I got out of his post.

Or maybe she just ignored it because it was too obvious.

Sometimes 'tis better to ignore the obvious sexual innuendo. For the better of the board ;)

I was interested in the spirit of the game. Around where I live, the fences are quite short, allowing for more long balls. Only one field around my way does not have fences, so that allows for more two or three-baggers. I may try to get into a softball league soon enough so I want to know where my prowess will be best. Speed or power.

I'm all for the betterment of the board. [/rokski]
