"If" ... the most dangerous word in the language.

You like him, right? Be aggressive about it -- not passive-aggressive. The open-ended invite gives him the upper hand and leaves you waiting by the cell phone wondering if he'll call or not.

Make the invite concrete, and at least you'll get a concrete answer, yes or no, or some garbled answer that will let you know that he's weak at the knees and has no backbone.

Well, that's the first time I've seen the phrase "waiting by the cell phone."

Then again, seems like the whole country is waiting by the cell phone for something or someone.

Boys have a tendency to knock my confidence level down a tad.

Its silence can often by deafening. But you're right. I don't like being one of those people. Plus I now have one of those jobs where I'm required to carry a Blackberry. It is indeed painful at times.

    Boys are easy, Flash.

I can't speak for the boys you are attracted to, however.

I caught you glancing my way
And I know what you're after
( no second chances tonight )
    Why don't we steal away?
    Why don't we steal away?
    Why don't we steal away?
Why don't we steal away into the night?
    I know it ain't right
    Make it tonight
    I know it ain't right
