Now this is plain dumb on all levels. Take the darn thing down "BlackAthlete.com." The correction you just made renders the entire piece moot. Save whatever face you have left, which isn't much.

If these people steal from me -- a writer and editor of a weekly community newspaper (which I doubt) -- they've got more problems than just plagiarism. Actually, they've got more problems than just plagiarism no matter what.
