AC units and electric bills

    We've been running three 5,000 BTU window units (We run two at a time; my roommate works from home so she turns off her room's unit and turns on the one in her "office" during the day). We still haven't had a bill over $80. We might next month because it's going to be hot and really humid in the next couple of weeks.

    I'm all-electric and run the AC full blast in the summer (you have to here), and never get a bill higher than $180.

    If I did the same in the winter, though, you could more than double that. Electric heat is ridiculously expensive.
