Why didn't you point this out on your first reference to him??

How do you know that letter was actually from Hal, and why should I believe you? With whom did you confirm the letter's authorship?

I've been told that Elvis Presley is a poor man's Queen Elizabeth.

It was type written and hand-signed, so I guess we could do a handwriting analysis. I actually kept that pile of rejection letters and read through them once in a while to keep myself humble. I was turned down by some of the best in the industry.

And, before you ask, the Plain Dealer was among the papers that rejected me.

This was what I thought. I was surprised Konerko got connected to this story at all, and wondered how. I guessed I must have missed something, just because I'm not as much of a follower of baseball as some other sports.

There is some speculation that Drake LaRoche is actually Paul Konerko's child.

Love this thread. Wish Boom could be here for all this. We lost one of our leaders in media bias identification, sources close to SJ.com are believed to have said.

for those who were looking for a off-the record or on the record criticism from a White Sox player concerning Drake Laroche constantly being around the team, here you go........

from John Perrotto (30+ years sports writer, member of the BBWA and HoF voter):

LaRoche Situation Should Lead To Clearer Rules - TKB

While the White Sox’s players supported LaRoche’s decision publically, one current member of the team — who asked to remain anonymous because of the sensitivity of the situation — said that management was within its right to ask that Drake’s access be more limited.

“It’s a tough situation because Adam is as good as it gets as a teammate and a person and Drake is a great kid who shouldn’t have been dragged into the middle of this whole thing,” the player said. “But it was to the point where it kind of exceeded the limit.

“Drake was out there on the field every day in spring training while we were going through drills. I had no problem with him being in the clubhouse or hanging around the dugout but I think you have to draw the line as far as on-field stuff. That is where the problem came from. That bothered some guys.

“When you’re on the field, it’s time to work.”
