The drink thing is covered. I think the thing that pushed me over the top today is hosed up weather. I've gone from a mild winter to shorts and flip-flops to back in jeans and flannel shirts. My lack of time on the water is like kryptonite to Super Man.
I can deal with amped up work BS where it feels like I'm a rudderless ship caught in a Cat 5 hurricane. I roll with it. Whatever.
I can deal with not going anywhere. I don't go a bunch of places anyway.
I need blue sky and blue water. I haven't had either in months.
    Thanks.

    Hang in there @Driftwood

I’m right there with you. For whatever reason, today I’m angry and frustrated. And a bit depressed. I’ll always do what’s right. But the same daily routine for six weeks now is maddening.

My home is a no-Trump zone but some of his idiocy crept in today. And set me off. I will never, ever understand how 40 percent of this country is still on board with this clown show.

In a little bit, I’m shutting all screens off and reading Ball Four. Haven’t read it since high school and an my updated copy arrived on Monday.

Gonna dissolve into the book and hope to wake up in a better mood tomorrow.

Hey, if you need to talk or vent or whatever feel free to reach out.

I’ve been there. It sucks. It gets better.

I definitely think we're in Phase 2 of this thing - the reality of it. I've been fortunate because I landed a decent gig because of it, it keeps me busy, fed and too tired on my off days to spend a lot of time thinking about those actively enabling the President. But I do shake my head at how many people have failed as citizens during this deal. Its a time to suck it up and work together, look out for each other - and we still have far too many people are only out for themselves. I don't know who comes up with the narratives that Fox News injects into their viewers daily, but they are enemies of humanity.

Amen to that. Fortunately I live in a very blue area, so haven't had to deal with that, yet.
Day off today, and was nice enough to take an afternoon walk around the park. Everything was open except the dog park. Fields were open after being closed most of the winter for recovery, and a couple of people were playing futsal, of exercising the dogs on the outfield grass of the ballfields. Felt good to do something semi normal.

Thanks. I'm ultimately fine. The crappy weather was what broke me yesterday. This time of year, I should have warm sun on my face and shoulders. Instead, I feel like I'm living in Scotland or somewhere.
Pretty soon I'll be on here singing Kid Rock lyrics: "I ain't seen the sunshine in three damn days."

I finally blocked 3 FB friends who are pretty much "All Trump All The Time" in their posts. Now when I read FB, my blood pressure stays in the normal range.

I've got a cousin who never lets up on attacking liberals and he spends way too much time on Facebook. Usually, I just roll right past his posts. Last week he posted something he found arguing that we aren't all in the same boat because everybody's circumstances are so different. I just had to jump in on that one and remind him that the person making that argument missed the point. Saying we are in the same boat doesn't mean we are all in the same situation. For example, staying home is a much larger burden for some of us than it is for others. (That was the real point of what he posted, to take a shot at people telling everyone to stay home.) The metaphor of being on the same boat is really about being mindful of the fact that everything we do affects the people around us and we have to be responsible to one another. I'm not just endangering myself or my family if I go out more or fail to practice proper social distancing. I'm endangering my community by possibly adding to the spread of COVID 19 and/or getting myself sick to the point that I take up medical resources when it wasn't necessary. To extend the metaphor, a boat has a captain. It has crew members of varying jobs and levels of authority. It may have passengers. Some of those passengers may be alone. Others may be with family, including the very old and the very young. No matter which of those people best represents me, if I do something to put the boat in danger, I endanger everyone on it.

They'll still print a Sunday sports section, but it will be folded into the front section (as Sports does Tuesday-Saturday anyway, folded into the Business section).
