Maybe MVP Ryan Braun could show them both how it's done.

    Oh, wait ...

You do realize the season didn't start just two months ago? Of course you do. And even you know better than to judge a player solely on his batting average. But we've entered tony fanboy time. We all know when that happens, you toss honesty and logic out the window.

You want to pick and choose parts of the season? Over the past month, Gomez still has a better OPS than your hero Lucroy. In that time, he has more home runs, RBI, runs scored, walks and, of course, stolen bases. See? I can play that game, too. I just do it better. Of course, it helps that I am arguing for the better player.

Arguing that the Brewers are better off without Gomez is ridiculous even for you, but you went there. Please stop trying to copy my posting approach. You don't do it nearly as well.

His replacement has two hits today and hasn't thrown to the wrong base, either. The two hits equals a week of Gomez's production.

And since you brought up total season ... Lucroy again wins the argument. But keep fanboying the guy hitting .238 the last two months, making bad outs on the bases and always missing the cutoff man. Keep showing that you know nothing at all about baseball.

Gomez's replacement is now 3 for 3 with a homer.

Well, OOPsie didn't think the last two months or the entire season are enough.

By the way, adding another stat: Strikeouts -- Gomez 129, Lucroy 62. That's 67 more opportunities to bring in a run from third, advance a runner from second to third or first to second ... or, simply, make the defense make a play.

Somewhat humorous that the MVP thread is seven pages long and has almost exclusively been about two guys who we all agree have no chance of winning the MVP award.

I just watched Andrew McCutchen hit a 450+ feet home run. Ergo, MVP.

I'm getting my scorecard out, members and moderators.
I got "Please [insert weak insult]" so far.
    "Foolish" will be coming next.

He may not win but Lucroy will be top 3.

Always seems to happen when OOPsie decides he knows better than every other baseball expert in America.

And I agree with you that neither has a chance. But I'd be willing to bet Lucroy finishes higher than Gomez.
