So Sabathia dominates for seven against the crappy Oakland lineup and it clinches the award for him, but Hernandez dominates for nine against a crappy Cleveland lineup and you go for the sarcasm. ::)

8 innings, but your point isn't diminished.

Geoff Baker chimes with some facts about this "knows how to win" nonsense...

    Load of hoo.

Sabathia knows how to win -- sign with the Yankees.

    Quite simple.

So, you admit that his record is a product of the team he plays for rather than performance. Thanks.

I don't think any of the CC supporters are left on this thread. Only sarcastic comments left making his case.

CC has nothing to be ashamed of & still has a good shot to win it.

Felix has been incredible, and if he continues to pitch lights out, I won't have an argument if he wins it.

But it would be a big departure from the past to give it to a guy who is only a game or so over .500 when there's a pitcher out there with over 20 wins and a .750 winning percentage. (Assuming things play out as they have.)

I can't see Cahill, Buchholtz, or Price winning it over CC.

Price & CC pitch tonight. Let's see how they do.

Who on here has said he should be ashamed?

Who on here hasn't acknowledged he a hell of a pitcher?

He's a great pitcher, a workhorse and one of the best in the game. He's just not having the best year by a pitcher in the AL.

Buchholz, Cahill and Price have one important thing in common. They all have lower earned run averages than Sabathia.

    Price's is not much lower.

Cahill & Buchholz don't average as many innings.

And, you can say that CC's run support is why he has so many wins, but I think he should get some credit for leading a team to a division title. (Yes, I know the Cy Young has different criteria than the MVP.)

He's also 15-2 in his last 17 starts. I think he deserves credit for closing strong.

It's not over yet. Let's see where everyone ends up.

Just turned on the Yankees' game & see that they're down 3-1 and CC's not out of the 3rd.

That's not helping his argument. Damn Buck Showalter & your incredible managing skills.
