    Dallas isn't that bad.

The thing about Dallas is you have several interstates that merge (I-20, I-30, I-35, I-45, I-820, Hwy. 75, etc.) If you are trying to change from one onto another and get stuck in the wrong lane (the highway can be seven lanes wide in some spots), it can be a nightmare. I've gotten stuck in the wrong lane, couldn't get over and had to double back several miles just because I wasn't familiar with where the various lanes split off.

Yeah, that can happen if you're unfamiliar with it. But once you get the hang of it, Dallas isn't too bad to get around.

Well, folks, get ready for round 2. Freezing precip tonight into tomorrow projected for Coldlanta. Worse on Wednesday with perhaps some snow accumulation similar to a couple weeks ago.

Unless the weather gurus are over-reacting to the safe side, looks like Atlanta may get a second chance to see how we do with the white stuff on the ground again.

Looks like Delta is erring on the side of overreaction. I got a call last night that my Wednesday morning flight to Atlanta is cancelled.

The same people in DC who were mocking Southerners the last time are going apeshit because we're supposed to get four (4) inches tomorrow night.

For Atlanta's sake, I hope it's snow and not ice. We will get snow, ice and rain on Thursday from the same storm, a real coronary-maker for shovelers.

Are they clearing out grocery stores while preparing for the end of the world? I tend to doubt it.

If they haven't yet, they will soon. I guarantee it.

Mostly rain in the city proper and near northern suburbs right now. Snow accumulating further north of the city.

The rain freezing and turning to ice tonight could be the real bitch--good potential for snapped trees, downed power lines and no power.

Then snow probably tomorrow to lay on top of that.

This once could make the one a couple weeks ago seem like a walk in the park. Not from a traffic perspective, schools are closed and some businesses following suit, so traffic was very light today. But, we'll see how many of the 6 mil of us have power tomorrow.

And the grocery stores and gas stations were a mob scene yesterday. Go long on bread and milk producers...

I know they are in Atlanta. I saw the pictures on FB... I can't imagine anyone in DC would be reacting like that for four inches of snow... I could be wrong...
