Alabama beat in Mobile

It's not a beat job. You'll cover Alabama and Auburn, but you'll be in those towns for games and that's about it. Maybe a presser every now and then. Lots of prep coverage and a little desk, but not a whole lot.

Our story thus far:
The thread began a couple of weeks ago with Mobile looking to replace its Alabama beat writer. The beat writer came from Chattanooga and the thread took a turn to the north. Chattanooga hired a writer from Florence and now Florence is on the clock. Once that writer his hired, this thread will turn there.
